Monero → Bitcoin
Swap XMR to BTC
Send XMR from your own wallet, receive BTC at an address you control. No sign-up and no deposit balance held on a website — the swap is processed by StealthEX, an instant non-custodial exchange.
Rates, minimums and network fees are shown live in the widget before you send. Pick XMR → BTC if it isn't preselected.
Why swap Monero to Bitcoin?
People usually swap XMR to BTC to move funds onto a chain that more exchanges, payment processors and hardware wallets support, while keeping the Monero side of their history private.
How the XMR → BTC swap works
- Enter the XMR amount and paste your Bitcoin receiving address (bc1…, 3… or 1… all work). Double-check it — crypto sent to a wrong address can't be recalled.
- Optionally add a refund address (a Monero address of yours) in case the swap can't complete.
- Send exactly the quoted amount of XMR to the deposit address the widget shows.
- Wait for Monero confirmations. Monero outputs are spendable only after 10 blocks (about 20 minutes), so expect at least that before BTC is sent.
- BTC arrives at your address; the widget shows the transaction once it's broadcast.
Before you send
- Monero transfers can't be traced on-chain the way Bitcoin's can, but the exchange still sees the deposit it gives you and the BTC it pays out.
- Bitcoin network fees vary a lot; the quote you see already accounts for the payout fee.
- Start with a small amount if it's your first swap, and keep the swap ID the widget gives you until the payout arrives.
